I'm inspired to blog a bit after reading the blog of a dear friend (her blog is private or else I would have linked it here.) I am reminded how much we need each other, espeically when the "we" is of the stay-at-home-mom variety.
We moms get such little value by society. It's incredibly lonely when you think you're the only one who is dealing with such and such right now. And even though on some level we know that we're not the first to deal with a blow-out swim diaper 20 minutes into your afternoon at the pool, it doesn't make it any more fun to clean up. But having another mom come in while your finishing up and acknowledge how yucky that just was makes all the difference.
I am so blessed with an amazing group of moms at my church. Their companionship is invaluable to me. Just knowing that there are so many other women who feel just as I do at times is such a comfort. And witnessing a new mom to the group feel their warmth and acceptance is priceless.
And God has orchestrated so many amazing women to bless and encourage me on this journey that I couldn't possibly list them all, but I think I'll try...
