Finally HOME!!!

We are rejoicing that Josiah is FINALLY HOME!!! We got in about 6:00 p.m. last night and had a lovely evening with our little family. His first night went great - he ate through most of it, which given his issues with his bilirubin, is a good thing.

He still looks pretty yellow, and his bili numbers might still be climbing, so please continue to pray. We will have them checked again tomorrow and then continue to have them checked a couple times a week for the next few months. We also have to watch his hemocrits (?), to make sure he doesn't develop anemia. I had to really make a fuss to go home yesterday - he went from 14.1 to 14.7 in 12 hours, which is a slower rate of increase, but still an increase. We don't have to do phototherapy unless he gets to 18.

We aren't totally out of the woods yet, but we can see a clearing in the distance. By the time he is 3 or 4 months old, this should all be behind us.
